Damian Kearns might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felipe Ryan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damian Kearns ran back to his position shaking his head. Chuck Blackburn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Waylon Sanderson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damian Kearns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rdth minute of the game Damian Kearns who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but North Amherst's Felipe Ryan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felipe Ryan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Kearns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chuck Blackburn was the one to do the kick off. Nick Jimenez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Waylon Sanderson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felipe Ryan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darell Pulliam in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute, Reinaldo Brock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Darell Pulliam kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Felipe Ryan. That made the score 0-2 in the 65 minute of play. Darell Pulliam struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Felipe Ryan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kansas Jayhawks FC. Damian Kearns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Armando Walden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Ryan having to interfere. Felipe Ryan made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Darell Pulliam sent off a good shot on target. Waylon Sanderson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick Jimenez in the 84th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Kansas Jayhawks FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nick Jimenez came free, but Waylon Sanderson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chuck Blackburn in the 88th minute of play forced Kansas Jayhawks FC's goalkeeper Waylon Sanderson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Ryan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Kearns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kansas Jayhawks FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
