The audience thought a goal was coming when Darell Pulliam got free with Trent Correa in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antony Burks charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antony Burks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to LA NOB FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Antony Burks hit a great ball. Kansas Jayhawks FC's Roscoe McCoy shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 17th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Trent Correa but with some difficulty. The supporters of Kansas Jayhawks FC booed when LA NOB FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antony Burks didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
