North Amherst's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thousand Oaks the free kick. The supporters of Thousand Oaks booed when North Amherst was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clinton Bateman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodolfo Fuller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felipe Ryan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Thousand Oaks's goal looked a bit too open when Chuck Blackburn came free, but Dallas Grove reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 minutes of play, North Amherst's Nick Jimenez made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dallas Grove was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dallas Grove took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keith Langley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dallas Grove made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clinton Bateman in the 21st minute of play. Thousand Oaks's Dallas Grove played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clinton Bateman in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, North Amherst's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Dugan came free, but Felipe Ryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thousand Oaks's Dallas Grove proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Thousand Oaks from getting a goal against them. North Amherst's Felipe Ryan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Fuller in the 30th minute of play. Dallas Grove made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nick Jimenez in the 33rd minute. An unexpected shot in the 34th minute by Nick Jimenez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Joshua Dugan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Clinton Bateman was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. In the 44th match minute, Thousand Oaks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graig Estrada to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Nick Jimenez made a precise shot to the right of Dallas Grove. Thousand Oaks's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

North Amherst's Felipe Ryan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save North Amherst from getting a goal against them. After 62 played minutes, Thousand Oaks's Jake Frye shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Felipe Ryan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Thousand Oaks reached it. When Chuck Blackburn fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored North Amherst's protests and gave Chuck Blackburn a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to North Amherst getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Chuck Blackburn hit a great ball. Nick Jimenez struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Dallas Grove didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for North Amherst. Felipe Ryan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Fuller in the 70th minute. Dallas Grove made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keith Langley in the 74th minute of play. Dallas Grove didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Keith Langley went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 82 played minutes Thousand Oaks got a freekick which was hit by Richard Merchant. Felipe Ryan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joshua Dugan in the 87th minute of the match. When Keith Langley fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored North Amherst's protests and gave Keith Langley a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th minute, Keith Langley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joshua Dugan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Ryan having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodolfo Fuller got free with Felipe Ryan in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Joshua Dugan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodolfo Fuller came free with the goalkeeper in the 96th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Felipe Ryan could save by the left post.
