Wendell Rose showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Wendell Rose came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Rebels FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wendell Rose couldn't finish the play. Wendell Rose blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cobi Bernard having to make a save. 27 minutes into the match, Rebels FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lincoln Acosta came free, but Stuart Cora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dean Tran's late challenge caught a Soccer Team FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dean Tran helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, Rebels FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dean Tran to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Lincoln Acosta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Rebels FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Hairston came free, but Stuart Cora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45thth minute of the game Wendell Rose who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Soccer Team FC's Cobi Bernard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lincoln Acosta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wendell Rose in the 52nd minute of play forced Soccer Team FC's goalkeeper Cobi Bernard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th match minute, Rebels FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zack Weller to maneuver through the defense. Wendell Rose scored 2-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cobi Bernard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Soccer Team FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Gordon Jeffers hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Soccer Team FC's zone, Dean Tran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cobi Bernard came out of the goal and Dean Tran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience held their breath when Antonio Hairston in the 76th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Stuart Cora's left hand side. Antonio Hairston hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. During the 89th minute of the match Willis Deering completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Willis Deering a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 90th match minute, Rebels FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willis Deering to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Soccer Team FC booed when Rebels FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zack Weller didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Lincoln Acosta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stuart Cora was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Soccer Team FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
