Spectators: 7703 (Terracing: 5779, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 153) Ladysmith's Jonas Herrera started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Ladysmith got a freekick which was hit by Domenic Norman. Abe Huber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michael Fairchild read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. After 12 minutes, Monty Robertson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jim Thorpe United and the Ladysmith players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Jim Thorpe United getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Monty Robertson hit a great ball. With a little luck, Jim Thorpe United's Michael Fairchild got control of the ball when Abe Huber tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jim Thorpe United's Michael Fairchild played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Herrera in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brock Woodall in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Deaton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jim Thorpe United's Marty Reyes got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Ladysmith:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jim Thorpe United:s goal. Daniel Deaton had in the 27thth minute some difficulties stopping Billy Timmons's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 27th minute, Billy Timmons left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jim Thorpe United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Daniel Deaton came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Jim Thorpe United's Brock Woodall. But to his dismay, Brock Woodall quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Jonas Herrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, one of Ladysmith:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ladysmith. Daniel Deaton had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Billy Timmons's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ladysmith's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Billy Timmons was slow to take the kick. During this time Jim Thorpe United's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Monty Robertson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ladysmith's Daniel Deaton did a great save. The Ladysmith players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jim Thorpe United were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brock Woodall stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marty Reyes scored 0-4 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Deaton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th minute, Brock Woodall reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Daniel Deaton. The goal made the score 0-5. Abe Huber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ladysmith getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Eddy Willis hit a great ball. Billy Timmons might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Deaton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Billy Timmons ran back to his position shaking his head. 74 minutes into the game, Jeffrey Myers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jim Thorpe United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ladysmith the free kick. A collision led to Jim Thorpe United getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jeffrey Myers hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Adrian Stokes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marty Reyes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Deaton made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Marty Reyes sent off a good shot on target. Adrian Dickson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Deaton having to make a save. 96 minutes into the match, Marty Reyes notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Ladysmith's Daniel Deaton. Daniel Deaton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Ladysmith supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Jim Thorpe United's performance. The match ended with a win for Jim Thorpe United.
