Spectators: 7261 (Terracing: 5761, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Brock Woodall started the match with the kick off. Jeffrey Myers kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 5 minutes into the game, Brock Woodall recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ian Gary. Brock Woodall showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Jim Thorpe United getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Kasey Weldon hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the game, Marty Reyes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ian Gary was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Collin Sexton kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, South Boston's Collin Sexton got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, South Boston's goalkeeper Ian Gary had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marty Reyes. Brock Woodall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for South Boston! The referee gave Jim Thorpe United a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Billy Timmons, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of South Boston's Ian Gary. 3-0. Ian Gary came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Jim Thorpe United's Kasey Weldon. But to his dismay, Kasey Weldon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 39th minute Brock Woodall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Gary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes, Reyes Cohen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the South Boston and the Jim Thorpe United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Jim Thorpe United booed when South Boston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reyes Cohen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reyes Cohen to strike the kick off in the second half. Jeffrey Myers charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeffrey Myers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jeffrey Myers hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Brock Woodall scored 5-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ian Gary, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ian Gary took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marty Reyes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Brock Woodall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Brock Woodall came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Jim Thorpe United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brock Woodall couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Reyes Cohen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 78 minutes, Brock Woodall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jim Thorpe United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brock Woodall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brock Woodall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ian Gary tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Jim Thorpe United booed when South Boston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reyes Cohen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brock Woodall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ian Gary tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Reyes Cohen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Adrian Dickson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ian Gary. South Boston's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrian Dickson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. When the referee ended the match the Jim Thorpe United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
