Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kris McCormick in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Quinn Peoples showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Cermak, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute, Benito Cermak fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Quinn Peoples, passed just outside the right post. Benito Cermak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Spring Hill FC's Kris McCormick in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Croatian Fighters FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Duane Busby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quinn Peoples breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute, Benito Cermak reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Quinn Peoples. The goal made the score 1-0. 44 minutes into the game, Croatian Fighters FC's Duane Busby nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Quinn Peoples made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benito Cermak made a kick off. Sol Rose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 52ndth minute of the game Phil Sutherland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Croatian Fighters FC's Neal Vickers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jeff Brantley hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Croatian Fighters FC's German Cabrera couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 59th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Spring Hill FC. In the 60th minute Benito Cermak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quinn Peoples saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Elton Clifton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antoine Bernstein was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 68th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute of the match Jeff Brantley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Neal Vickers skillfully saved the ball. Quinn Peoples made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duane Busby in the 74th minute of play. After 77 minutes, Woody Aviles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Croatian Fighters FC and the Spring Hill FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Croatian Fighters FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Woody Aviles to maneuver through the defense. Neal Vickers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Spring Hill FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
