Spectators: 7722 (Terracing: 5792, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jonas Herrera kicked off to start the match. Wilmer Blackwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Herrera in the 6th minute of the match. If Abe Huber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abe Huber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilmer Blackwell having to interfere. Ken Lord kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Jonas Herrera reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wilmer Blackwell. The goal made the score 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, Weehawken's goalkeeper Wilmer Blackwell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abe Huber. 29 minutes into the match, Weehawken's Rudolph Madsen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Deaton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Weehawken's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Herrera came free, but Wilmer Blackwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Weehawken's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. D.J. McCabe was slow to take the kick. During this time Ladysmith's players had a chance to rest. Weehawken's Wilmer Blackwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Herrera in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rudolph Madsen was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Jonas Herrera left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ladysmith fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Daniel Deaton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudolph Madsen in the 68th minute of play. Cameron Charles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Titus Horton kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Daniel Deaton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudolph Madsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ladysmith's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
