Andy Ayers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brock Woodall in the 8th minute of the match. With a little luck, San Lorenzo's Andy Ayers got control of the ball when Marty Reyes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th match minute, San Lorenzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Gary to maneuver through the defense. Marty Reyes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andy Ayers having to make a save. When Gerard Glover came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the San Lorenzo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerard Glover couldn't finish the play. Michael Fairchild made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Werner Brock in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Brock Woodall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andy Ayers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Fairchild came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by San Lorenzo's Werner Brock. But to his dismay, Werner Brock quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marty Reyes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marty Reyes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Andy Ayers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerard Glover sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michael Fairchild showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zack Sheridan, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The Jim Thorpe United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. San Lorenzo were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerard Glover was the one to do the kick off. Marty Reyes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 minutes of play, Jim Thorpe United's Brock Woodall made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andy Ayers was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 74th minute, Brock Woodall ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andy Ayers was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 78th minute, Marty Reyes made a precise shot to the right of Andy Ayers. San Lorenzo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 83rd minute, Luther Rowell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th match minute, Jim Thorpe United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dickson to maneuver through the defense. Andy Ayers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marty Reyes in the 88th minute of play. If Werner Brock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo's Zack Sheridan got a free kick in the 94th minute.
