Michael Fairchild made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 15th minute Abe Huber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Fairchild saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 played minutes Jim Thorpe United got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dickson. In the 19th minute, Abe Huber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michael Fairchild was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Jim Thorpe United's Brock Woodall in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Daniel Deaton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brock Woodall, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Ladysmith's Daniel Deaton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brock Woodall in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Marty Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marty Reyes in the 55th minute of play forced Ladysmith's goalkeeper Daniel Deaton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56thth minute of the game Brock Woodall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ladysmith's Daniel Deaton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brock Woodall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Deaton having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Spencer Romo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ladysmith's Jonas Herrera got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 66 played minutes Ladysmith got a freekick which was hit by Domenic Norman. In the 69th minute, Marty Reyes made a precise shot to the right of Daniel Deaton. Ladysmith's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 75 minutes into the match, Jim Thorpe United's goal looked a bit too open when Abe Huber came free, but Michael Fairchild reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jim Thorpe United's Jeffrey Myers got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Deaton came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Jim Thorpe United's Brock Woodall. But to his dismay, Brock Woodall quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Norberto McGill hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
