Mark Sharpe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Santo Gray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Mark Sharpe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Scotty Dodson. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Buenos Aires's zone, Rolando Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mark Sharpe came out of the goal and Rolando Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jonathon Field had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rolando Silva came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Guin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Silva couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Gray in the 62nd minute of play forced Guin's goalkeeper Robby Ledbetter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Barajas charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Buenos Aires fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guin's goalkeeper Robby Ledbetter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Santo Gray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C.A. Buenos Aires were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
