Mexico86's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Federal Way the free kick. Warren Lynch kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Mexico86's Stephen Albrecht played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lawrence Willis in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Lott in the 46th minute of play forced Federal Way's goalkeeper Chris Singletary to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 56thth minute of the game Lawrence Willis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico86's Stephen Albrecht was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sterling Willoughby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephen Albrecht having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Federal Way's Lawrence Willis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stephen Albrecht narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mexico86's Stephen Albrecht played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lawrence Willis in the 61st minute of play. In the 66th minute, Cameron Watson made a precise shot to the right of Chris Singletary. Federal Way's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The Federal Way fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Cameron Watson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Chris Singletary tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marquis Felix kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Fabian Lott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chris Singletary having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Federal Way's zone, Cameron Watson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chris Singletary came out of the goal and Cameron Watson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Federal Way's Chris Singletary proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Federal Way from getting a goal against them. 94 minutes into the match, Federal Way's goal looked a bit too open when Cameron Watson came free, but Chris Singletary reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Federal Way's Odell Thurman got a free kick in the 95th minute. Federal Way's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
