In the 27th minute, Jerold Lockhart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jerold Lockhart's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robby Ledbetter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Guin's Scotty Dodson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boyce Whittington narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Guin's Robby Ledbetter got control of the ball when Jerold Lockhart tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cliffwood Beach FC's zone, Scotty Dodson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boyce Whittington came out of the goal and Scotty Dodson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rolando Silva to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Guin booed when Cliffwood Beach FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graig Lutz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerold Lockhart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Scotty Dodson struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Boyce Whittington didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guin. Eli Leslie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Robby Ledbetter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cliffwood Beach FC's Giovanni Gunter got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Guin's Tim Kiser tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Scotty Dodson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guin's supporters rose to their feet, but Scotty Dodson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boyce Whittington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Guin players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cliffwood Beach FC.
