The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Mexico86's Fabian Lott got a free kick in the 8th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Caballero couldn't finish the play. Merle Preston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephen Albrecht having to interfere. Fabian Lott ran back to his position shaking his head. Blaine Gillespie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cameron Watson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fabian Lott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Jerseyville's zone, Cameron Watson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blaine Gillespie came out of the goal and Cameron Watson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adam Caballero to strike the kick off in the second half. Cameron Watson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Blaine Gillespie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Derrick Whitmore charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Derrick Whitmore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 79 played minutes Mexico86 got a freekick which was hit by Kirk Aldridge. Blaine Gillespie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabian Lott in the 85th minute. Darius Camp hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cameron Watson in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blaine Gillespie saved Jerseyville from getting behind. When Adam Caballero came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Jerseyville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Caballero couldn't finish the play. Stephen Albrecht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Merle Preston in the 95th minute of play. The Mexico86 players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Jerseyville from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
