Spectators: 7652 (Terracing: 5741, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 152) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rolando Silva kicked off to start the match. Adam Caballero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robby Ledbetter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Merle Preston in the 4th minute of play. Merle Preston might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robby Ledbetter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Merle Preston ran back to his position shaking his head. Scotty Dodson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Blaine Gillespie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blaine Gillespie came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Guin's Scotty Dodson. But to his dismay, Scotty Dodson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 13 minutes, Samuel Barajas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guin and the Jerseyville players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Guin got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Barajas. After a rather tough play, Jerseyville's D.J. Eastman got a free kick in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolando Silva in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blaine Gillespie saved Jerseyville from getting behind. A collision led to Guin getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Samuel Barajas hit a great ball. Guin's Robby Ledbetter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Merle Preston in the 23rd minute of play. Robby Ledbetter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Merle Preston, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute, Merle Preston made a precise shot to the right of Robby Ledbetter. Guin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Guin! Robby Ledbetter had in the 34thth minute some difficulties stopping Tracy Cesario's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Robby Ledbetter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Merle Preston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guin's Robby Ledbetter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Merle Preston in the 37th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Guin's goal looked a bit too open when Merle Preston came free, but Robby Ledbetter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guin fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! Robby Ledbetter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darius Camp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adam Caballero made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Scotty Dodson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guin's supporters rose to their feet, but Scotty Dodson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blaine Gillespie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robby Ledbetter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Merle Preston in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute, Abraham Nunn made a precise shot to the right of Blaine Gillespie. Jerseyville's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Darius Camp hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Merle Preston managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jerseyville's supporters rose to their feet, but Merle Preston was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robby Ledbetter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Guin's zone, Merle Preston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robby Ledbetter came out of the goal and Merle Preston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Everett Diaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Robby Ledbetter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jerseyville's Merle Preston got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th match minute, Guin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abraham Nunn to maneuver through the defense. Guin's Robby Ledbetter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Merle Preston in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Scotty Dodson made a precise shot to the right of Blaine Gillespie. Jerseyville's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Robby Ledbetter made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Merle Preston sent off a good shot on target. When Darius Camp fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jerseyville's protests and gave Darius Camp a yellow card for diving instead. Darius Camp hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Guin's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
