The Jerseyville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Blaine Gillespie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santo Gray in the 38th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, C.A. Buenos Aires's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Caballero came free, but Mark Sharpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of C.A. Buenos Aires booed when Jerseyville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everett Diaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adam Caballero made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Jonathon Field took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Blaine Gillespie to make any attempt to save it. Santo Gray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blaine Gillespie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonathon Field in the 92nd minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the C.A. Buenos Aires players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
