Spectators: 7686 (Terracing: 5765, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adam Caballero started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Jerseyville's goal looked a bit too open when Eli Humphrey came free, but Blaine Gillespie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th match minute, MONT€®®€Y was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy Mendez to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, MONT€®®€Y's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Caballero came free, but Boyce Dahlstrom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in MONT€®®€Y's zone, Merle Preston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boyce Dahlstrom came out of the goal and Merle Preston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicholas McGee's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Blaine Gillespie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicholas McGee in the 29th minute of play forced Jerseyville's goalkeeper Blaine Gillespie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Merle Preston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, MONT€®®€Y's Boyce Dahlstrom got control of the ball when Merle Preston tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicholas McGee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Blaine Gillespie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eli Humphrey to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Nicholas McGee kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Blaine Gillespie. That made the score 0-1 in the 52 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Caballero in the 57th minute of play forced MONT€®®€Y's goalkeeper Boyce Dahlstrom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Merle Preston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Jerseyville's Merle Preston sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boyce Dahlstrom narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adam Caballero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyce Dahlstrom having to interfere. Everett Diaz took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boyce Dahlstrom. Boyce Dahlstrom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The supporters of MONT€®®€Y booed when Jerseyville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garth Guillory didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicholas McGee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Nicholas McGee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blaine Gillespie came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by MONT€®®€Y's Raymundo Bledsoe. But to his dismay, Raymundo Bledsoe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. MONT€®®€Y walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
