Jerseyville's Blaine Gillespie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sterling Womack in the 10th minute of play. Sterling Womack struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Blaine Gillespie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argentine FC. Jerseyville's Blaine Gillespie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Jerseyville from getting a goal against them. When Argentine FC's Sterling Womack in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jerseyville's goalie prevented a goal. 17 minutes into the game, Everett Diaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jerseyville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argentine FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Jerseyville's Everett Diaz got a free kick in the 17th minute. Blaine Gillespie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sterling Womack in the 18th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Edmund Ng got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Blaine Gillespie quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Merle Preston fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jerseyville's protests and gave Merle Preston a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Jerseyville got a freekick which was hit by Merle Preston. 23 minutes into the match, Jerseyville's goal looked a bit too open when Sterling Womack came free, but Blaine Gillespie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 24 minutes, Sterling Womack managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Argentine FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sterling Womack was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Murray Hoffmans short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Blaine Gillespie to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 32nd minute, Murray Hoffman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Blaine Gillespie. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 43rd minute Adam Caballero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chase Rios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 played minutes Argentine FC got a freekick which was hit by Lamar Hinkle. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Argentine FC's goalkeeper Chase Rios, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Chase Rios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Caballero, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Jerseyville's Blaine Gillespie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sterling Womack in the 56th minute of play. Darius Camp charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darius Camp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, Jerseyville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darius Camp to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Jerseyville defense, Sterling Womack kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Blaine Gillespie. The Jerseyville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Blaine Gillespie should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Argentine FC had played much better football throughout.
