When Adolfo Trujillo came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the West Hills FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Trujillo couldn't finish the play. Adolfo Trujillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Merle Spicer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. West Hills FC's Ernie Crocker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dillon Trotter in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Rudolph Ventura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernie Crocker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sherman Larson in the 15th minute of the match. Sherman Larson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sherman Larson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Merle Spicer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Trujillo in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, Shazam FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Spivey to maneuver through the defense. If Jefferson Cadena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adolfo Trujillo made a kick off. If Dillon Trotter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Shazam FC's zone, Jefferson Cadena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Merle Spicer came out of the goal and Jefferson Cadena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dillon Trotter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernie Crocker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Hunter Todd kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. If Dillon Trotter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernie Crocker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dillon Trotter in the 68th minute of the match. Shazam FC's Merle Spicer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Trujillo in the 73rd minute of play. Shazam FC's Sherman Larson got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernie Crocker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dillon Trotter in the 78th minute of play. If Jefferson Cadena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jefferson Cadena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merle Spicer having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Jefferson Cadena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Merle Spicer was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Tyrell Dickey kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Adolfo Trujillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Merle Spicer was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. 96 minutes into the match, Shazam FC's Dillon Trotter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernie Crocker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. West Hills FC had won after a very even match.
