Zane Dickens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Harper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 4 in the game by Freddie McNamara from a close distance when the talented Jeffrey Carney managed to make a qualified save. South Orange AFC's players were relieved. Zane Dickens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geoff Shapiro in the 8th minute of the match. A collision led to Houston FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Drew Crowder hit a great ball. Freddie McNamara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeffrey Carney having to interfere. Jeffrey Carney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cedric MacFarland in the 14th minute of the match. If Loren Samuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 played minutes Houston FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Koenig. Jeffrey Carney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cedric MacFarland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geoff Shapiro in the 30th minute of play forced Houston FC's goalkeeper Zane Dickens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Houston FC's Freddie McNamara got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Houston FC's Cedric MacFarland ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jeffrey Carney. Jeffrey Carney yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cedric MacFarland made a kick off. Jeffrey Carney stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cedric MacFarland's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Cedric MacFarland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jeffrey Carney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeffrey Carney came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Houston FC's Laurence Cardoso. But to his dismay, Laurence Cardoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 67 minutes into the match, South Orange AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Laurence Cardoso came free, but Jeffrey Carney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Houston FC's Laurence Cardoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeffrey Carney made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 72nd minute Edgardo Harper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zane Dickens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geoff Shapiro scored 4-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zane Dickens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th minute Cedric MacFarland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeffrey Carney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurence Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeffrey Carney having to interfere. Jeffrey Carney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddie McNamara in the 80th minute of the match. Cedric MacFarland took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeffrey Carney. Jeffrey Carney dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Freddie McNamara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 94 minutes, Edgardo Harper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. South Orange AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Harper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
