Lawrence Post showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Curt Dwyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Wanderers's Miguel Vela got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Curt Dorsey struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Lawrence Post didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pelicans SC. Lawrence Post made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Curt Dorsey in the 16th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Jamel Dupre successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Edmund Kendall fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wanderers's protests and gave Edmund Kendall a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute of the match Edmund Cruz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lawrence Post showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 23 minutes into the game, one of Pelicans SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Wanderers a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Giovanni Lyons, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pelicans SC's Jamel Dupre. 2-0. Nigel McMullen kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Curt Dwyer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Tory Vazquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Curt Dorsey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lawrence Post having to make a save. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Colin McGee made a kick off. Miguel Vela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jamel Dupre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Curt Dorsey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Lawrence Post was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Curt Dwyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Pelicans SC's Lawrence Post threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Curt Dorsey, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 67 minutes into the match, Curt Dorsey dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lawrence Post, 2-4. After a defensive mix-up in Wanderers's zone, Curt Dorsey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lawrence Post came out of the goal and Curt Dorsey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 80 minutes of play, Pelicans SC's Curt Dwyer made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lawrence Post was left in no man's land by his defense there! Curt Dorsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrence Post having to interfere. Curt Dwyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Curt Dorsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Curt Dwyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Lawrence Post tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pelicans SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
