Arnoldo Shultz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th minute, Arnoldo Shultz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dwight Scales came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Rohnert's Desmond Hoover. But to his dismay, Desmond Hoover quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Rohnert booed when Real Angels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacques Abrams didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Logan Gonzalez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rohnert's supporters rose to their feet, but Logan Gonzalez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dwight Scales breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Len Sawyer hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Pierre Aaron sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Real Angels's Dwight Scales didn't even have to move. The supporters of Real Angels booed when Rohnert was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Wilkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lincoln Sherman was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Arnoldo Shultz. Renaldo Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Lincoln Sherman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Logan Gonzalez in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dwight Scales prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 47th minute, Arnoldo Shultz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 49 minutes, Logan Gonzalez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rohnert's supporters crossed their fingers, but Logan Gonzalez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Renaldo Duarte to make the kick off. Lincoln Sherman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renaldo Duarte's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Alistair Sanders could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Dwight Scales made a huge save.
