Real Angels's Dwight Scales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lincoln DeJesus in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 played minutes Real Angels got a freekick which was hit by Owen Rice. 36 minutes into the game, Lenny Conroy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. United Galaxy SF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Angels the free kick. The supporters of Real Angels booed when United Galaxy SF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenny Conroy didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, United Galaxy SF's goalkeeper Robin Bartley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacques Abrams. If Scotty Bonner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Dwight Scales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lincoln DeJesus in the 51st minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Javier Gregory got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Lincoln DeJesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Real Angels:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of United Galaxy SF:s goal. 66 minutes into the game, one of Real Angels:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Dwight Scales, was totally fooled by United Galaxy SF's Laurence Tyler, who 68 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 84th match minute, Real Angels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Len Sawyer to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute Lincoln DeJesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dwight Scales saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Javier Gregory took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dwight Scales. Dwight Scales dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Lenny Conroy hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. In the 100th minute of the match Arnoldo Shultz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robin Bartley showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
