The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Shazam FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rhett Faulk to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sherman Larson in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lincoln Sherman saved Rohnert from getting behind. Logan Gonzalez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Merle Spicer made a huge save. Logan Gonzalez struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Merle Spicer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rohnert. 20 minutes into the match, Shazam FC's goal looked a bit too open when Desmond Hoover came free, but Merle Spicer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sherman Larson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dillon Trotter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lincoln Sherman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Rohnert's Lincoln Sherman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dillon Trotter in the 34th minute of play. Shazam FC's Sherman Larson got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute Sherman Larson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lincoln Sherman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desmond Hoover in the 43rd minute of play forced Shazam FC's goalkeeper Merle Spicer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dillon Trotter made a kick off. The supporters of Shazam FC booed when Rohnert was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Aaron didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Desmond Hoover came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Rohnert fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Desmond Hoover couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Logan Gonzalez in the 59th minute of play forced Shazam FC's goalkeeper Merle Spicer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rhett Faulk kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the game, Rhett Faulk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shazam FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rohnert the free kick. Dillon Trotter hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Desmond Hoover fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merle Spicer having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Logan Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merle Spicer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Shazam FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Rohnert from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
