In the 4th minute Donald York shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The tension between the Saks and the Union players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Union booed when Saks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Sherman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Jessie Dunn sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Saks's Edgardo Fernandez didn't even have to move. Stanton Glenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Edgardo Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saks's Edgardo Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanton Glenn in the 18th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Stanton Glenn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edgardo Fernandez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stanton Glenn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Fernandez having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Union got a freekick which was hit by Elvis Willett. The referee gave Saks a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Francisco Metcalf, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Union's Deon Kimbrough. 1-1. If Markus Grubb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Deon Kimbrough managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Saks's Markus Grubb fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Saks's Vincent Sherman got his second yellow card of the match in the 44th minute. The referee ordered Vincent Sherman off the ground. A collision led to Saks getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Vincent Sherman hit a great ball. Union's Stanton Glenn got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Markus Grubb made the kick off in the second half. When Markus Grubb came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Saks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Markus Grubb couldn't finish the play. Donald York received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Edgardo Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donald York sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Saks's Edgardo Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanton Glenn in the 96th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Saks's goal looked a bit too open when Stanton Glenn came free, but Edgardo Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
