When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Kenneth Lloyd put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Terrance Brooks. Kenneth Lloyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terrance Brooks having to interfere. Billy Sewell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Kenneth Lloyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denver Hyatt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the game, Glenn Franklin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gavin Traylor. Glenn Franklin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After 37 minutes, Domenic Amos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ellsworth South FC and the The Squatters players grew even worse after the yellow card. Domenic Amos hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half The Squatters were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Glenn Franklin fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ellsworth South FC's protests and gave Glenn Franklin a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ellsworth South FC's Glenn Franklin got a free kick in the 86th minute. Denver Hyatt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terrance Brooks having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded The Squatters left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ellsworth South FC.
