Spectators: 7697 (Terracing: 5815, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Zachariah Dutton got the match started through his kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aidan Montgomery got free with Kevin Esposito in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Salvatore Chan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danny Becerra hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After having played for 8 minutes, Zachariah Dutton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ripley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zachariah Dutton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ripley's Moises Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Corazón Unido's Evan McCloud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zachariah Dutton in the 11th minute of play. Kevin Esposito made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Aidan Montgomery sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Corazón Unido defense, Zachariah Dutton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evan McCloud. The Corazón Unido fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evan McCloud should have stopped the shot. If Zachariah Dutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ernesto Ragsdale fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ripley's protests and gave Ernesto Ragsdale a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute, Ernesto Ragsdale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Terrence Huston, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jefferson Vance sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aidan Montgomery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aidan Montgomery received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Kevin Esposito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ripley's Kevin Esposito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jefferson Vance in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jefferson Vance to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Corazón Unido's Evan McCloud got control of the ball when Zachariah Dutton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jefferson Vance sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Corazón Unido's goalkeeper Evan McCloud, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aidan Montgomery took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kevin Esposito. Kevin Esposito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. In the 90th minute, Sol Moody hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corazón Unido were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ripley for a fine match.
