The supporters of Ellsworth South FC booed when Ripley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Ragsdale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto Ragsdale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Terrance Brooks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Billy Sewell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Esposito having to interfere. Kevin Esposito came out of the goal and Glenn Franklin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dustin Uster during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Terrance Brooks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sol Moody, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Zachariah Dutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Terrance Brooks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zachariah Dutton, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute.
