The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marlon Bridges in the 8th minute of play forced Coolidge's goalkeeper Robby Barbour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Coolidge's Robby Barbour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonzo Sams in the 10th minute of play. Robby Barbour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from D.J. Veltman, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Woodrow Gibson in the 17th minute of play forced Cross City FC's goalkeeper Jesse Cody to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Jesse Cody managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Coolidge's Ted Gipson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Robby Barbour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from D.J. Veltman, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, D.J. Veltman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cross City FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. A collision led to Cross City FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ignacio Nash hit a great ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Woodrow Gibson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coolidge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Woodrow Gibson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robby Barbour showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from D.J. Veltman in the 49th minute of the match.

In the 60th minute, Woodrow Gibson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coolidge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Alfonzo Sams received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Robby Barbour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bronson Floyd kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Ignacio Nash was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Woodrow Gibson scored 3-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jesse Cody, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Alfonzo Sams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ted Gipson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jesse Cody tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Woodrow Gibson in the 90th minute of play forced Cross City FC's goalkeeper Jesse Cody to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alfonzo Sams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Gary Abrams hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robby Barbour acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 98th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ignacio Nash.
