Spectators: 7684 (Terracing: 5764, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 153) Len Denton came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by South Gate Ridge's Ty Aaron. But to his dismay, Ty Aaron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. South Gate Ridge's Graham Whitaker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save South Gate Ridge from getting a goal against them. Virgilio Owen hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Andreas Sheets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Graham Whitaker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kristofer Carlton came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the FC Barcelona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kristofer Carlton couldn't finish the play. Andreas Sheets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Graham Whitaker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Graham Whitaker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristofer Carlton in the 21st minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Andreas Sheets got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 31st minute, Ty Aaron ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Len Denton was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 34 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Ty Aaron came free, but Len Denton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, South Gate Ridge's Gerardo Grayson got a free kick in the 36th minute. Gilberto Good was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Graham Whitaker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kristofer Carlton's shot from short distance in the 46th minute.

The wind increased when James Allison made the kick off in the second half. When Kristofer Carlton came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the FC Barcelona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kristofer Carlton couldn't finish the play. After 60 minutes, Russ Russ mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Barcelona and the South Gate Ridge players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Barcelona's Russ Russ got a free kick in the 61st minute. South Gate Ridge's Graham Whitaker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Sheets in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, FC Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Christensen to maneuver through the defense. South Gate Ridge's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Woody Key in the 71st minute. 77 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Terence Dwyer came free, but Len Denton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Woody Key kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. If Kristofer Carlton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC Barcelona booed when South Gate Ridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Woody Key didn't get a good kick on the ball. South Gate Ridge succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though FC Barcelona had controlled the match.
