In the 5th minute Karl Yoder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but DeMarcus McCarthy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by J.P. Berg in the 6th minute of play forced Atletico Texcali's goalkeeper DeMarcus McCarthy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. DeMarcus McCarthy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from J.P. Berg in the 10th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, C.J. McNally hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. DeMarcus McCarthy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl Yoder went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 20th match minute, Woodland Hills FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by J.P. Berg to maneuver through the defense. The referee gave Woodland Hills FC a penalty, 24 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Otto Ragsdale, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atletico Texcali's DeMarcus McCarthy. 0-2. In the 29th minute, J.P. Berg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute J.P. Berg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but DeMarcus McCarthy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute Karl Yoder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but DeMarcus McCarthy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 played minutes Atletico Texcali got a freekick which was hit by Silas McPherson. Atletico Texcali's DeMarcus McCarthy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by J.P. Berg in the 37th minute of play. Karl Yoder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If J.P. Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Cedric Bearden made the kick off in the second half. J.P. Berg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute, Cedric Bearden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Karl Yoder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Woodland Hills FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Yoder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. DeMarcus McCarthy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl Yoder in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck DeMarcus McCarthy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. C.J. McNally kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Otto Ragsdale sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Atletico Texcali's DeMarcus McCarthy didn't even have to move. J.P. Berg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but DeMarcus McCarthy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Calvin Worley's late challenge caught a Woodland Hills FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Calvin Worley helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute, Calvin Worley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. DeMarcus McCarthy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from J.P. Berg, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. A collision led to Atletico Texcali getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Deshawn Samuels hit a great ball. Matthew Sargent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without DeMarcus McCarthy having to interfere. DeMarcus McCarthy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl Yoder went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by J.P. Berg in the 90th minute of play forced Atletico Texcali's goalkeeper DeMarcus McCarthy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. DeMarcus McCarthy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from J.P. Berg, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. J.P. Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Woodland Hills FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
