Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) 3 minutes into the match, Cross City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cedric Bearden came free, but Jesse Cody reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cedric Bearden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jesse Cody was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. When Atletico Texcali's Cedric Bearden in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Atletico Texcali's DeMarcus McCarthy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by D.J. Veltman in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Marlon Bridges made a precise shot to the right of DeMarcus McCarthy. Atletico Texcali's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonzo Sams got free with DeMarcus McCarthy in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Cross City FC's zone, Errol Lynch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesse Cody came out of the goal and Errol Lynch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Errol Lynch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cedric Bearden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute, Alfonzo Sams made a precise shot to the right of DeMarcus McCarthy. Atletico Texcali's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 37th minute, C.J. McNally left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atletico Texcali fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. D.J. Veltman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. DeMarcus McCarthy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Errol Lynch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jesse Cody was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for D.J. Veltman to strike the kick off in the second half. Jesse Cody made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Cedric Bearden sent off a good shot on target. Cedric Bearden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jesse Cody tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Cedric Bearden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesse Cody saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Errol Lynch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jesse Cody stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cedric Bearden's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Errol Lynch could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Jesse Cody however easily saved by the left post. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cross City FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Silas McPherson was slow to take the kick. During this time Atletico Texcali's players had a chance to rest. Vincent Baker made a great header on Atletico Texcali's corner, it was just that Cross City FC's Jesse Cody managed to reach the ball for a save. If Cedric Bearden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th match minute, Cross City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marlon Bridges to maneuver through the defense. Cedric Bearden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesse Cody having to interfere. Ahmed Luna charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmed Luna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 84 minutes into the match, Atletico Texcali's Silas McPherson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Cross City FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ahmed Luna hit a great ball. Cedric Bearden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesse Cody having to interfere.
