The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Andreas Sheets could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Jed Norman made a huge save. In the 4th minute Robbie Vernon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Len Denton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Rodrick Shaw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Los Burritos's Jed Norman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Los Burritos from getting a goal against them. 15 minutes into the match, Robbie Vernon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Len Denton. FC Barcelona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robbie Vernon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. FC Barcelona's Len Denton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Robinson in the 22nd minute of play. Jed Norman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristofer Carlton in the 23rd minute of play. Robbie Vernon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robbie Vernon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Len Denton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robbie Vernon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Leon Robinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mario Christensen fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Barcelona's protests and gave Mario Christensen a yellow card for diving instead. Los Burritos's Rodrick Shaw got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The FC Barcelona players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Los Burritos were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kristofer Carlton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robbie Vernon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Len Denton came out and tried to block the shot, but Robbie Vernon slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 52nd minute. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Robbie Vernon put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Len Denton. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leon Robinson during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, Leon Robinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andreas Sheets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jed Norman having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robbie Vernon in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Len Denton saved FC Barcelona from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Los Burritos's Leon Robinson got a free kick in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Los Burritos's goal looked a bit too open when Kristofer Carlton came free, but Jed Norman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Melvin Montano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Len Denton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 74th minute, Robbie Vernon fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Len Denton, passed just outside the right post. When Stephan Franks fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Barcelona's protests and gave Stephan Franks a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Stephan Franks. In the 76th minute, Robbie Vernon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Sheets in the 80th minute of play forced Los Burritos's goalkeeper Jed Norman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Barcelona's Len Denton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robbie Vernon in the 81st minute of play. A hard shot by Asher Lackey from long distance, 84 minutes into the match, got Len Denton's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 89th minute, Melvin Montano made a precise shot to the right of Len Denton. FC Barcelona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. FC Barcelona's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Robbie Vernon 93 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. Los Burritos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
