Alianza Troy's Fletcher Esposito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Benton in the 37th minute of play. Harry Benton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fletcher Esposito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harry Benton to strike the kick off in the second half. Harry Benton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Fletcher Esposito made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harry Benton got free with Fletcher Esposito in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Walker Lindsay kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Harry Benton struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Fletcher Esposito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Charles City. If Harry Benton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Alianza Troy's Eldon Coats got a free kick in the 78th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Harry Benton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Charles City's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Benton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fletcher Esposito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fletcher Esposito made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Harry Benton sent off a good shot on target. When Harry Benton came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Charles City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harry Benton couldn't finish the play. Eldon Coats charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eldon Coats the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Alianza Troy getting a freekick after 88 minutes play.
