Spectators: 7701 (Terracing: 5777, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 153) Carbondale's Ralph Strange started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lewis Sherwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Carbondale's zone, Lewis Sherwood stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Lamb came out of the goal and Lewis Sherwood tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 13 played minutes, Kickin Balls's Roscoe Lunsford shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rolando Lamb came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kickin Balls reached it. 19 minutes into the match, Carbondale's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Key came free, but Rolando Lamb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Carbondale's Asher Foreman got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Cesar Key had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ralph Strange received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Avery Nicholson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ralph Strange's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Avery Nicholson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 30thth minute of the game Cesar Key who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carbondale's Rolando Lamb was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ralph Strange received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Avery Nicholson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Kickin Balls's goal looked a bit too open when Ralph Strange came free, but Avery Nicholson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tracy Miner charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tracy Miner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Kickin Balls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tracy Miner to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Cesar Key made the kick off in the second half. Kickin Balls's Avery Nicholson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralph Strange in the 73rd minute of play. Gilberto Myrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avery Nicholson having to interfere. Ralph Strange's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Avery Nicholson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Cesar Key recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rolando Lamb. Cesar Key showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 90th minute of the match Austin Snow shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Avery Nicholson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Kickin Balls getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Otto Cornelius hit a great ball. Ralph Strange received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Avery Nicholson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute Ralph Strange shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avery Nicholson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle went the supporters of Kickin Balls were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Carbondale side.
