After 4 played minutes Sumitami Global got a freekick which was hit by Phil Booth. Parker Arroyo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilford Gaston having to make a save. When Benjamin Sheldon fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sumitami Global's protests and gave Benjamin Sheldon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of TequilaSunrise AFC booed when Sumitami Global was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Sheldon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Stacey Cordero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the game, TequilaSunrise AFC's Parker Arroyo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilford Gaston made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Parker Arroyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. With a little luck, TequilaSunrise AFC's Sol McElroy got control of the ball when Phil Booth tried to sneak it across the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Benjamin Sheldon notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of TequilaSunrise AFC's Sol McElroy. Sol McElroy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Theodore Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Parker Arroyo to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Sumitami Global's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Parker Arroyo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Stacey Cordero was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 53 minutes had been played. 60 minutes into the match, Sumitami Global's goalkeeper Wilford Gaston had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Parker Arroyo. Phil Booth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Parker Arroyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Wilford Gaston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joey Stjohn charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joey Stjohn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 73 played minutes Sumitami Global got a freekick which was hit by Joey Stjohn. Parker Arroyo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Wilford Gaston when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Phil Booth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phil Booth in the 84th minute of play forced TequilaSunrise AFC's goalkeeper Sol McElroy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, TequilaSunrise AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Phil Booth came free, but Sol McElroy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
