In the 56th minute Tracy Quinones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fletcher Esposito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Archie Vance fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fletcher Esposito having to interfere. A collision led to Long Beach Sharks FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Archie Vance hit a great ball. Alianza Troy's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Hank Cavazos 71 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Fletcher Esposito successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Eldon Coats recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kip Whitt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Fletcher Esposito when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice moves Archie Vance could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Fletcher Esposito however easily saved by the left post. Alianza Troy's Fletcher Esposito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hank Cavazos in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Long Beach Sharks FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
