But to his dismay, Darius Gabriel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Terry Jacobsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Terry Jacobsen in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Drummond prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vincenzo Case charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vincenzo Case the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Woodlands FC booed when The Horde FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincenzo Case didn't get a good kick on the ball. Travis Bassett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 minutes, Terry Jacobsen made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. The Horde FC's Paul Drummond tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Terry Jacobsen in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paul Drummond saved The Horde FC from getting behind. Darius Gabriel struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Paul Drummond didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Woodlands FC. Darius Gabriel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute Darius Gabriel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Drummond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Travis Bassett was the one to do the kick off. Darius Gabriel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Paul Drummond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Terry Jacobsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Drummond having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Woodlands FC's Darius Gabriel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paul Drummond narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paul Drummond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darius Gabriel, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Woodlands FC's Darius Gabriel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paul Drummond narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Darius Gabriel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Woodlands FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Darius Gabriel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Drummond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paul Drummond made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Terry Jacobsen sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darius Gabriel in the 73rd minute of play forced The Horde FC's goalkeeper Paul Drummond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Terry Jacobsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woodlands FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Terry Jacobsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vincenzo Case kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Darius Gabriel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 86th playminute. Paul Drummond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darius Gabriel in the 94th minute of play. Woodlands FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
