With a left leg Adrian Rucker saved Almafuerte from getting behind. After 9 played minutes, Springfield FC's Foster Sheridan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adrian Rucker came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Springfield FC reached it. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Springfield FC's goalkeeper Houston Bowles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Almafuerte's zone, Ned Lemons stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Rucker came out of the goal and Ned Lemons tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Rucker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ned Lemons, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Maxwell Tyler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Springfield FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Almafuerte the free kick. Cyrus Davies kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Ollie Godfrey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Houston Bowles made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Claudio Cooley sent off a good shot on target. Ollie Godfrey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Houston Bowles made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Almafuerte's Houston Bowles threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jack Whittaker, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jack Whittaker was the one to do the kick off. If Ollie Godfrey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Houston Bowles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Whittaker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ollie Godfrey came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Almafuerte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ollie Godfrey couldn't finish the play. Jack Whittaker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Houston Bowles having to interfere. If Timmy Holt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ned Lemons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Adrian Rucker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrian Rucker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ned Lemons in the 75th minute. Almafuerte's Adrian Rucker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy Holt in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Almafuerte's goalkeeper Adrian Rucker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ned Lemons. During the 83rd minute of the match Cyrus Davies completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cyrus Davies a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 84th match minute, Springfield FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyrus Davies to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute of the match Garth Yeager sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Houston Bowles skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Almafuerte's zone, Timmy Holt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Rucker came out of the goal and Timmy Holt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
