Jack Whittaker scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filiberto Purvis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ollie Godfrey might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filiberto Purvis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ollie Godfrey ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ollie Godfrey came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Almafuerte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ollie Godfrey couldn't finish the play. Hugh Wood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Fabian Zamora in the 23rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Filiberto Purvis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ollie Godfrey in the 25th minute of the match. After 25 minutes of play, Almafuerte's Ollie Godfrey made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filiberto Purvis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fabian Zamora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ollie Godfrey in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filiberto Purvis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 36 played minutes Dynamo FC got a freekick which was hit by Cody Cain. Jack Whittaker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 40th match minute, Dynamo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Truman Martinez to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ollie Godfrey in the 42nd minute of play forced Dynamo FC's goalkeeper Filiberto Purvis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Dynamo FC booed when Almafuerte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Cooley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabian Zamora's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrian Rucker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Jack Whittaker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugh Wood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Adrian Rucker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hugh Wood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Rucker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Zamora, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Jack Whittaker kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Filiberto Purvis. That made the score 0-3 in the 91 minute of play. The Almafuerte supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Almafuerte would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
