Watsontown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beverly Hills the free kick. Sebastian Lange hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Willis McCord sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Beverly Hills's zone, Rueben Olson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clinton Barry came out of the goal and Rueben Olson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gordon Sweet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clinton Barry was a little too slow when Willis McCord got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 30th minute, Alan Sellers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rueben Olson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willis McCord received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Clinton Barry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Beverly Hills got a freekick which was hit by Alan Sellers. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Willis McCord was the one to do the kick off. Sebastian Kajdasz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alan Sellers. Clinton Barry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernie Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Ernie Moreno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the game, Willis McCord cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Clinton Barry was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 70 minutes, Leland Delgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beverly Hills and the Watsontown players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leland Delgado hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After 81 played minutes Watsontown got a freekick which was hit by Solomon Patrick. In the 82nd minute, Rolando Buck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Ernie Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Watsontown's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernie Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clinton Barry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernie Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Clinton Barry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Watsontown's goal looked a bit too open when Connor Coronado came free, but Sebastian Kajdasz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Watsontown's zone, Connor Coronado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Kajdasz came out of the goal and Connor Coronado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
