Paul Drummond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugh Wood in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th match minute, Dynamo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cody Cain to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Dynamo FC's zone, Travis Bassett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiberto Purvis came out of the goal and Travis Bassett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filiberto Purvis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Travis Bassett's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Paul Drummond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Zamora in the 30th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Travis Bassett managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Horde FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Travis Bassett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filiberto Purvis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute, Cody Cain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Travis Bassett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Purvis having to interfere. Filiberto Purvis was a little too slow when Wendell Medina got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 44 minutes, Truman Martinez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dynamo FC and the The Horde FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Dynamo FC's Truman Martinez got a free kick in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Travis Bassett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Travis Bassett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
