Adrian Rucker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnnie Wilkinson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mora FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Almafuerte the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mora FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Garth Yeager shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ollie Godfrey got free with Loren Varner in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ollie Godfrey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loren Varner having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Landon Jacobs was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Landon Jacobs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mora FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Landon Jacobs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Rucker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 69 played minutes Mora FC got a freekick which was hit by Tanner Leach. Mora FC's Loren Varner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Whittaker in the 71st minute of play. If Ollie Godfrey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
