Hunter Graves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filiberto Purvis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Filiberto Purvis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brent Clement in the 6th minute of the match. Joseph Cronin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Zamora, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Hunter Graves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brent Clement sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filiberto Purvis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hunter Graves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28thth minute of the game Fabian Zamora who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wayland's Joseph Cronin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Dynamo FC booed when Wayland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lawrence Wallace didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Wayland getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Lawrence Wallace hit a great ball. Stephen Rush was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Hugh Wood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filiberto Purvis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brent Clement in the 44th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brent Clement to make the kick off. Joseph Cronin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Zamora's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. The audience was convinced that Fabian Zamora's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joseph Cronin was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wayland's goalkeeper Joseph Cronin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hunter Graves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Filiberto Purvis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dynamo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugh Wood was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute, Wayland's Garret Field seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Garret Field the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Wayland protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Garret Field had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Wayland! In the 90th minute there was a penalty for Dynamo FC. Stephen Rush stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joseph Cronin. 1-0. Wayland's Joseph Cronin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Zamora in the 98th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Dynamo FC had won after a very even match.
