Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Connor Coronado started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Beverly Hills's zone, Johnnie Wilkinson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clinton Barry came out of the goal and Johnnie Wilkinson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Connor Coronado struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Loren Varner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beverly Hills. In the 21st minute, Leland Delgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gustavo Cora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Landon Jacobs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Connor Coronado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loren Varner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Connor Coronado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Beverly Hills fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Leland Delgado struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. In the 41st minute, Leland Delgado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Beverly Hills fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Connor Coronado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Loren Varner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Landon Jacobs made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Beverly Hills's Leland Delgado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Loren Varner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Connor Coronado in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Loren Varner saved Mora FC from getting behind. Tom Spencer hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When Gustavo Cora fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mora FC's protests and gave Gustavo Cora a yellow card for diving instead. Connor Coronado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Leland Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Loren Varner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Connor Coronado in the 78th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Beverly Hills's goal looked a bit too open when Landon Jacobs came free, but Clinton Barry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Mora FC's Landon Jacobs slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Clinton Barry. That made the score 2-1 after 84 minutes of play. In the 91st minute Leland Delgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loren Varner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnnie Wilkinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Beverly Hills fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mora FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
