The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christian Miranda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without C.J. Joseph having to make a save. Los Blancos's C.J. Joseph played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Miranda in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathaniel Vickers in the 17th minute of play forced Keokuk's goalkeeper Darryl Messer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nathaniel Vickers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Darryl Messer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match Joaquin Ashby shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Darryl Messer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 25 minutes of play, Los Blancos's Lucien Pacheco made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Darryl Messer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Keokuk's Darryl Messer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucien Pacheco in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Los Blancos's Nathaniel Vickers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Darryl Messer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Darryl Messer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathaniel Vickers in the 38th minute of the match. Nathaniel Vickers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Darryl Messer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Nathaniel Chadwick managed to get in a good position for a shot. Keokuk's supporters rose to their feet, but Nathaniel Chadwick was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. C.J. Joseph breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. C.J. Joseph made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Miranda in the 46th minute of play. If Lucien Pacheco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Los Blancos were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Miranda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ahmed Hickman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. C.J. Joseph tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 54 minutes, Brock Ruffin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Blancos and the Keokuk players grew even worse after the yellow card. Brock Ruffin hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Christian Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lenny Farmer fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Blancos's protests and gave Lenny Farmer a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Los Blancos's Lenny Farmer got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Keokuk's goalkeeper Darryl Messer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucien Pacheco. If Lucien Pacheco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 played minutes Keokuk got a freekick which was hit by Nathaniel Chadwick. Los Blancos were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Keokuk's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wallace Bouchard took the corner. After taking down the ball on Los Blancos's corner Wallace Bouchard fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Darryl Messer quite easily take care of the ball. Pete Sutherland's late challenge caught a Keokuk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pete Sutherland helped the player get up and apologised. After 83 played minutes Los Blancos got a freekick which was hit by Pete Sutherland. When Lucien Pacheco came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Los Blancos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucien Pacheco couldn't finish the play. Nathaniel Vickers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Darryl Messer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Los Blancos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
