Spectators: 7694 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1781, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kirk Godfrey took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 2 minutes, Jay Thorne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the St. Matthews and the Coraopolis players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rickie Marrero shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 10 minutes into the match, Coraopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Frankie Scruggs came free, but Conrad Farley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute of the match Mel Rosario shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Conrad Farley showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Kirk Godfrey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jessie Sargent took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Conrad Farley. Coraopolis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Coraopolis getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ernesto Newsome hit a great ball. Kirk Godfrey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conrad Farley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, St. Matthews's goal looked a bit too open when Bradly Moreno came free, but Preston Banning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Coraopolis's Conrad Farley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kirk Godfrey in the 46th minute of play. Rusty Pagan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Rusty Pagan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Conrad Farley when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Conrad Farley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kirk Godfrey in the 66th minute of play. St. Matthews's Kirk Godfrey got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute Bradly Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Preston Banning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conrad Farley made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Rusty Pagan sent off a good shot on target. Bradly Moreno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Preston Banning read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Kirk Godfrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Conrad Farley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Kirk Godfrey kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Conrad Farley. That made the score 0-1 in the 83 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Rusty Pagan put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Conrad Farley. After 91 minutes, Henry Gunter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coraopolis and the St. Matthews players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Kirk Godfrey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Conrad Farley was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. The supporters of St. Matthews booed when Coraopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Newsome didn't get a good kick on the ball. The St. Matthews supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing St. Matthews would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
