Randy Chacon kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Rocky Darling took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Markus Renteria. Avluca city's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ellinwood FC's zone, Karl Clifton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Truman Baez came out of the goal and Karl Clifton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanh Metzger hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Hunter Bravo's late challenge caught a Avluca city's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hunter Bravo helped the player get up and apologised. Rocky Darling hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Avluca city's Marvin Katz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Truman Baez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregg Larson, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Ellinwood FC's Hunter Bravo got a free kick in the 40th minute.

Gregg Larson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Truman Baez having to interfere. Ellinwood FC's Truman Baez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Clifton in the 93rd minute of play. The Ellinwood FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
