Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ezra Wilburn kicked off to start the match. Clayton Bentley might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonio Blair. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Clayton Bentley ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Ellinwood FC booed when Cookeville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Hutchinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Jayson Henderson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cookeville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jayson Henderson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgil Landreth during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Cookeville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgil Landreth to maneuver through the defense. Cookeville's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Ezra Wilburn scored to the left of an out of position Antonio Blair, making the score, 1-0. Antonio Blair showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezra Wilburn in the 21st minute of the match. After 22 minutes of play Cookeville's Virgil Landreth was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Cookeville getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Virgil Landreth hit a great ball. Rocky Darling was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Jayson Henderson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cookeville's supporters rose to their feet, but Jayson Henderson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Truman Baez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 27 minutes into the game, Hunter Bravo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ellinwood FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cookeville the free kick. After 27 played minutes Ellinwood FC got a freekick which was hit by Hunter Bravo. 32 minutes into the match, Ellinwood FC's Ezra Wilburn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antonio Blair narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Ellinwood FC booed when Cookeville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rich Powell didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Ezra Wilburn took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Antonio Blair to make any attempt to save it. 41 minutes into the match, Ellinwood FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jayson Henderson came free, but Truman Baez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jayson Henderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Truman Baez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jayson Henderson made a kick off. When Ezra Wilburn came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ellinwood FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezra Wilburn couldn't finish the play. Clayton Bentley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonio Blair took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezra Wilburn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Clayton Bentley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clayton Bentley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jayson Henderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Truman Baez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeo Hutchinson struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Truman Baez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cookeville. With his leg Truman Baez managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Cookeville's Jayson Henderson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 87 minutes into the match, Cookeville's Jayson Henderson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Truman Baez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cookeville players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ellinwood FC.
