Bruce Craft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Blair having to interfere. When Bruce Craft came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Skyhawk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruce Craft couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Craft in the 31st minute of play forced Cookeville's goalkeeper Antonio Blair to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Skyhawk FC's Sebastian Browning got a free kick in the 42nd minute. A collision led to Cookeville getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Murray Knapp hit a great ball. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cookeville's goalkeeper Antonio Blair, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bruce Craft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Blair having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Murray Knapp to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Sebastian Browning mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skyhawk FC and the Cookeville players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cookeville booed when Skyhawk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Browning didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jayson Henderson in the 53rd minute of play forced Skyhawk FC's goalkeeper Aurelio Dent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Skyhawk FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Skyhawk FC's Sebastian Browning got his second yellow card of the match in the 74th minute. The referee ordered Sebastian Browning off the ground. If Murray Knapp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A very good chance. Skyhawk FC's Aurelio Dent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jayson Henderson in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cookeville's Virgil Landreth got a free kick in the 91st minute. Bruce Craft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Blair having to interfere. Cookeville's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
